Founded in 1969, Coastal Supply Company has grown from a small local manufacturer to become one of the predominant horticultural suppliers in the eastern United States. Today, under the guidance of our Company’s owner and CEO, Joseph A. Kollock, III, Coastal is expanding both its manufacturing capabilities, as well as its product offering.

The Company manufactures a broad variety of bagged and bulk horticultural products such as Soils, Mulch’s, Decorative Stones and Premium Growing Mixes. Some of those products are Top Soil, Ultralight Top Soil, Compost & Manure, Pine Bark Mulch, Nuggets, Mini Nuggets, Cedar Mulch, Shredded Hardwood Mulch, Cypress Mulch, and specialty mulches such as Red, Brown and Black Colored mulch, and the new termite fighting Term-A-Rid. In 2007 we began producing the full line of Preen Mulches, which contain the world’s number one selling pre-emergent weed preventer. In addition, we carry Sphagnum Peat Moss, commercial growing mixes, and professional grade Potting Mixes. All in all, there are over 50 different products that the Company offers.

In addition to a multitude of products, we also sell in a variety of different labels, such as the Garden Pro, which is sold to some of the leading mass merchants in the United States and Canada. The Company also is a leading manufacturer of private brand products, such as Ace Hardware and StaGreen.

We also supply quality products to the Nursery Industry. Our ProFines nursery growing media of both aged and green Pine Bark Fines is sought after by the industry’s best growers for its superior growth performance and characteristics. In addition to our ProFines, we make many customer specific custom blends.

With manufacturing facilities located in Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky and North Carolina, Coastal Supply can effectively deliver our many products from New York to South Carolina and as far west as Missouri.

While manufacturing premium products is a critical component of the equation, product delivery is equally important. Coastal Supply Company has its own trucking fleet and in house dispatch centers. In most cases, our turnaround is under twenty-four hours. In season, we are open for business and shipping twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

We pride ourselves on our ability to consistently meet our customer’s needs. By combining the many different products that we offer on the same truckload, we offer our customers the ability to manage their inventory more closely than ever before, thereby increasing turns while not tying up valuable inventory dollars and yard space. Our lightening quick turnaround assures no “out of stock” situations.
